This policy explains how the Erwin app and this website handle your information.
Erwin is built to respect your privacy. Erwin never collects your personal data; your data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account.
Information the Erwin app handles:
Game state and progression. This data is stored only locally, on your device.
High score. This data is stored only on your device and in your private iCloud account, to keep your high score in sync.
Leaderboard (Optional). If you are logged in to Game Center, Erwin submits your high score. Game Center is a key part of the Apple Games app experience. It is maintained by Apple, and how your data and activity are handled is covered by the Game Center Privacy Policy.
Payment and subscription information. Payments and associated information (your name, email, and billing address) are handled by Apple, and not shared with us at all.
You have complete control over your data: you can disable iCloud synchronization in your device settings, or uninstall the app to delete locally stored data.

The Erwin app doesn’t communicate with this website. It doesn’t “phone home,” it doesn’t “check in”. Your data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account.
The web server hosting the Erwin.game website logs visits automatically with full IP address and basic browser information: a referrer (the web address of the previous page you visited), language preference, and your web browser’s name and version number. These logs do not contain information that could identify you personally. Log files are never sold. Web server log files are rotated (deleted) over time.
This website doesn’t use session cookies, persistent cookies or other techniques (eg. browser local storage) to store information on your computer at all; and it doesn’t use third party services like web analytics software or common “social sharing” buttons that might place long-term, third party cookies that could track you across websites without your knowledge or consent.
This web property is operated in the European Union. If you are located elsewhere, please be aware that any information you share will be transferred to the European Union. Your private information is protected under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
The Erwin website is hosted at Netcup’s data center in Nuremberg, Germany.
Encrypted backups are stored at Amazon’s data center in Frankfurt, Germany.
When you write an email with a question or to ask for help, that correspondence (including your email address, name or any other personally identifying information you share) will be stored and handled in order to communicate with you.
